Five Courses | La Crema Wine Pairings | Intimate Experience

An Intimate Evening
For this year’s New Orleans Wine & Food Experience, Copper Vine presents an evening with La Crema—not as an introduction, but as a return.
Guided by the winery’s coastal roots, this six-wine dinner unfolds as a progression through light, texture, and place. From bright, lifted beginnings to a more layered and grounded finish, each pairing is designed to reflect how these wines evolve at the table.
Spanning the Russian River Valley to Oregon’s Willamette Valley, the evening offers a broader perspective on a name many know, but few have experienced in full.
About NOWFE
The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience is a celebrated annual event that brings together world-class wines, acclaimed chefs, and unforgettable dining experiences in the heart of New Orleans. It’s a vibrant showcase of global flavors and local talent—making it the perfect inspiration for an elevated, wine-driven dinner.
The Winemaker
New Zealand-born and globally inspired, Craig McAllister brings a sense of place, travel, and craftsmanship to every bottle of La Crema. Since joining the winery in 2007 and becoming Head Winemaker in 2017, he has helped shape La Crema’s esteemed collection of single vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines, which will be featured throughout the evening.
Known for his thoughtful, coastal-driven approach to winemaking, Craig only visits New Orleans once a year for NOWFE, making this intimate dinner and conversation at Copper Vine a rare opportunity to experience these wines alongside the person behind them.
